Conceptualized on a park bench, Prolegis is a response to the challenges a real estate lawyer faced in his residential real estate conveyancing practice.  He worked long hours, was constantly thinking about what needed to happen next and felt like he needed to have all of his matters front of mind.   A talented developer and the real estate lawyer knew the solution required more than to produce mail-merge documents - they wanted to build a system that provided supports throughout the process of conveying real estate.  The platform needed to save time, facilitate the completion of the matter, and store of all relevant information and documents from a browser accessible from everywhere. It needed to appropriately address the complexity of the residential real estate transaction and respect the role of the legal team as decision-maker and as party responsible for the outcome of the transaction.​ ​The result was Prolegis.  Through the Prolegis platform, the real estate lawyer saw a transformational shift in his team's capacity to complete real estate transactions professionally, efficiently, and in a client-focused way.  Team members had tools to complete their work efficiently and to share progress on matters.  Late nights and weekends that once were spent in residential real estate practice were now available for other endeavors.  When work needed to be done outside of the office, it could be done in a web browser from start to finish.
